EU sent world stars in corruption fight to the advisory board

This is what Yehor Sobolyev – chairperson of the parliamentary Committee on Corruption Prevention and Counteraction said about the members of the International Anti-Corruption Advisory Board (IACAB). IACAB was assembled by the EU Anti-Corruption Initiative in Ukraine (EUACI). To formalize the establishment of IACAB and its future work with the Parliamentary committee, EUACI head Eka Tkeshelashvili and Yehor Sobolyev signed a memorandum of understanding on 8 September.

IACAB will assist Ukrainian Parliament to strengthen its strategic oversight of the implementation of anti-corruption reform. IACAB consists of top-notch European anti-corruption experts:

2. Anca Jurma
3. Giovanni Kessler
4. Drago Kos
5. Martin Kreutner
6. Jens Madsen
7. Daniel Thelesklaf

‘I want to emphasize that this is not yet another monitoring mission, it’s a unique body that will assist reform implementation process, improvement of regulatory framework aimed at reducing corruption risks in Ukraine’ – said Eka Tkeshelashvili during the signing ceremony.
