Analysts from NABU took part in training program in Poland thanks to EUACI

News

Analysts from NABU took part in training in Poland thanks to the agreement, signed by the EU Anti-Corruption initiative in Ukraine and the Polish Police Academy in Szczytno. The training was held from 20 August till 14 September.

Due to the fact that in Ukraine there are no certified Criminal Analysis courses, it was decided to get such certification abroad.

10 analysts from NABU took part in the training. During the training they have learned how to conduct criminal analysis and analytical research appropriately and write analytical reports.

This training program should provide the necessary knowledge and skills in applying analytical methods. During the training, the participants conducted an analysis using special analytical techniques, and then presented their results.

The key aspect of improving the efficiency of analytical work is the professional development of the staff of the analytical department.  According to the law, analysts from NABU can testify as specialists in the court in criminal proceedings, where they have to provide an analytical report. To do this, professionals have to prove their relevant education and experience. Such exchange programs provide experts an opportunity to improve their experience.
