NABU Anti-Corruption School 2026 in the Carpathians has ended

This year, we selected 25 of the most motivated students out of 558 applications and spent five unforgettable days together in the Carpathians.

The School’s program included:

  • anti-corruption and Ukraine’s European integration;
  • history of building the anti-corruption system of Ukraine;
  • “Weekend with Detectives”: how top corruption is investigated – working with sources, procedural interview, OSINT;
  • discussion with the SAPO prosecutor on plea agreements;
  • the specifics of defence in corruption proceedings, seen through a lawyer’s eyes.

Due to security risks, the School relocated from Kyiv to the Ivano-Frankivsk region and became almost a camp, where participants spent as much time as possible with the speakers and organisers. Beyond the lectures, they played an anti-corruption quiz and anti-corruption mafia, reflected on what they’d learned each day, and hiked together to the Dovbush Rocks.

Based on their performance and completed assignments, 10 participants will very soon arrive for the internship at the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine.

We are glad that for the seventh time we managed to gather young people who choose to spend their summer vacation studying, actively ask questions, and want to understand how the anti-corruption system works from the inside. It is these young people who are already forming a demand for integrity in Ukraine.

The Anti-Corruption School was implemented by NABU with the support of the EU Anti-Corruption Initiative (EUACI).
