Anti-Corruption, Reconstruction and the Maritime Sector

The Head of EUACI, Allan Pagh Kristensen highlighted the Program’s many activities in support of the fight against corruption in Ukraine at the Spring Member Meeting of the Maritime Anti-Corruption Network (MACN).

The meeting was held in Copenhagen on 26 April.

During the plenary keynote session, speakers Allan Pagh Kristensen and Yuliya Klymenko, the First Deputy Head of the Transport and Infrastructure Committee of the parliament of Ukraine, discussed the ongoing initiatives to prevent and fight corruption also with a view to the reconstruction process of Ukraine and the maritime sector. 

“Despite corruption being a widespread problem in Ukraine, significant steps have been taken in recent years to combat corruption and promote transparency. Progress continues even during these very difficult times for Ukraine. New opportunities arise from the diminishing tolerance for corruption in the Ukrainian society”, the EUACI Head underlined.
