Constitutional crisis: a year later

The NACP, NABU and HACC leadership will hold a discussion on “Constitutional crisis: a year later” on October 27 at 3 pm

One year ago, on October 27, 2020, the Constitutional Court of Ukraine (CCU) ruled №13-r / 2020, which effectively “paused” the e-declarations system and the work of the NACP in general, and helped avoid the responsibility of officials for lying in declarations.

Today, the CCU is considering another case that could destroy e-declaration, and a motion to declare the law "On the High Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine" unconstitutional.

To recall the devastating consequences of last year's CCU decision and discuss measures to prevent those events from happening again, the NACP and the EU Anti-Corruption Initiative are organizing a discussion entitled "Constitutional Crisis: A Year Later."

The following will take part in the discussion:

  • Oleksandr Novikov, Chairman of the NACP;
  • Artem Sytnyk, Director of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU);
  • Eugene Kruk, Deputy Chairman of HACC;
  • Denys Maluska, the Minister of Justice of Ukraine;
  • Anastasia Radina, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Anti-Corruption Policy;
  • Allan Pagh Kristensen, Head of the EUACI;
  • Stepan Berko, DEJURE Foundation;
  • Kateryna Butko, Avtomaidan, Public Council at the NACP.

Moderator of the discussion: Daryna Kaleniuk, Executive Director of the Center for Combating Corruption.

The discussion will take place on October 27, 2021, at 15:00.

Venue: Park Inn by Radisson Kyiv Troyitska Hotel (55 Velyka Vasylkivska Street), 20th floor, conference hall.

Please note that due to the strengthening of quarantine measures to participate in the event, you need to show the organizers a vaccination certificate (in paper form or in the "Action") or the results of the PCR test.
