Representatives of AGRASC visited ARMA with EUACI’s support

On 3-4 June, the representatives of Management of Seized and Confiscated Assets of the French Republic (AGRASC) were on official visit to ARMA. ARMA’s representatives and its French counterparts from AGRASC shared their experiences and discussed further cooperation. Anne Haller, Vice President of the Legal Department, and Etienne Donat, an expert on communication and partnership participated, in this study visit organized by EUACI.

On the first day of the visit, AGRASC delegates visited the Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA), where the Head of Agency and heads of key departments presented and , discussed current legal and special issues in asset management, and identified ways to improve the work of the Agency in line with European practices.

In particular, representatives of AGRASC noted the usefulness of pre-seizure planning, a procedure that could saves costs and improves significantly the quality of future management of seized assets.

On the second day of the visit, AGRASC delegates visited the State enterprise “SЕТАМ” and the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU).

The European Union Anti-Corruption Initiative, contributes to the establishment of sustainable relationships between AGRASC and key elements of the Ukrainian anti-corruption infrastructure, namely NABU and ARMA.

EUACI gives all of its support to the activities of the mentioned anti-corruption bodies and enhances their ability to prevent and counteract corruption in the country.
