Ukrainian law students debate anticorruption

4 December students from 8 legal clinics from law schools across Ukraine faced each other during an open debate tournament. The tournament was organized by the Association of Legal Clinics of Ukraine and the debates’ topic was corruption. The partners of the tournament included EUACI, Special Anticorruption Prosecution Office and Ukrainian Helsinki Human Rights Group. Deputy special anticorruption prosecutor Maxym Hryschuk and EUACI expert Serhiy Derkach welcomed the participants. Serhiy Derkach also served as a judge throughout the tournament.

Following heated debates in quarterfinals and semifinals teams from Ternopil and Dnipro law schools faced off in the final round. After long deliberations the judges decided to award the victory to the team from the legal clinic Liberta of Ternopil law school.  Congratulations to the winners!
