News

During her visit to Ukraine, Vice-President of the European Commission, Federica Mogherini met with the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko. Within the framework of this visit, the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy said that the EU has more intense partnership with Ukraine than with any other country.

However, she stressed the importance to bring the establishment of an independent High Anti-Corruption Court in line with the recommendations of the Venice Commission.

“This is extremely important for the country, for the business environment, for the investment climate, for continuing energy and land reforms. It will open the great potential of Ukraine,” said Vice-President of the European Commission, High Representative of the EU on Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini.

According to her, NGOs should also play a key role in fighting against corruption, as it would be impossible to overcome such a negative phenomenon without their participation.
