A team of the EUACI visited public schools in Mykolaiv on 17 September. The schools all have one thing in common: Their canteens are old and miserable but will become modern and comfortable after renovation works that are about to start. And the EUACI has been invited to keep an eye on the procurement and construction processes in order to mitigate corruption risks.
The renovation of school canteens is part of a unique project of the first lady Zelenska’s foundation in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science. Mykolaiv is one of the EUACI Integrity Cities where the reconstruction of canteens in four schools will be funded by the state budget.
