Poltava City Council restored public access to its urban planning cadastre geoportal, which had been closed since russia’s full-scale invasion. It also approved new regulations governing geographic information systems. These decisions are the result of the EUACI’s systematic work with Poltava as an Integrity City.
Citizens and businesses again get access to urban planning data directly, without submitting formal requests, in just a few clicks. The portal covers:
▪️ accessibility monitoring;
▪️ community boundaries and individual starosta districts;
▪️ cultural heritage protection zones;
▪️ historical and architectural reference plans and urban planning documentation;
▪️ public zones and land where capital construction is prohibited.
The geoportal will also facilitate information exchange between city departments and municipal enterprises through unified registries, enabling management decisions based on accurate spatial data.
The geographic information system regulation was developed in cooperation with the EUACI experts. It creates the legal basis for procuring the necessary equipment, developing new data layers, and further expanding the portal’s analytical capacity.
