NACP promotes integrity in schools

On 12 December, the Integrity for Education Forum gathered teachers, school principals, parents, students, as well as public and civil sector experts to discuss achievements, challenges, and prospects for promoting integrity in schools.

The event was organized by the NACP Integrity Office with the support of the EU Anti-Corruption Initiative.

“Integrity and corruption are issues of values and culture. Integrity cannot be learned simply by taking a course or reading a book. Teaching values must be one of the most challenging topics for teachers. And it all starts with the new generation, with school kids. And as teachers, you have the future of Ukraine in your hands every day” Allan Pagh Kristensen, Head of the EUACI highlighted.

The Integrity for Education Forum is an annual event that serves as a platform for building partnerships among educators, students, parent communities, and stakeholders. It lays the foundation for long-term cooperation to develop integrity-based education in Ukraine.

During the event, the participants shared their thoughts regarding the following topics:

  • The role of stakeholders in fostering integrity.
  • Educators as key drivers of integrity.
  • Parents as partners in creating an integrity-focused educational environment
  • Students as a driving force for integrity.

Additionally, teachers conducted a series of workshops on integrating integrity into the educational process.

The EUACI Communication Expert Yana Ryzak shared the best practices in promoting integrity and anti-corruption among youth.
