The EUACI Head Allan Pagh Kristensen became UNIC Ambassador!

Since 2017, the EUACI has supported UNIC, the Ukrainian Network of Integrity and Compliance. Each year, UNIC hosts a Business Integrity Month. It is now the largest series of events for responsible business in Ukraine. UNIC is one of the few organisations consistently promoting integrity and compliance in the private sector, and we have watched it continue to grow even in the most challenging times.

On 27 May, the international conference Integrity Matters officially opened Business Integrity Month 2026. The event brought together over 120 participants in person, 265+ online, and 17 speakers across three panel discussions. The conference was held with the support of the EUACI.

During the panel “Ukraine in the International Context”, Allan Pagh Kristensen spoke about how the EU accession process guides anti-corruption work and stressed the importance of a systemic and sectoral approach to fighting corruption, including in the business sector.

“Now, when the EU accession negotiations were launched, that provided some additional direction for Ukraine. The EU is working in two dimensions. One is the Rule-of-Law Roadmap, which, among other things, includes creating a better environment for businesses, ensuring that property rights are protected, and providing fair and equal treatment across markets. The other dimension is what we call ‘anti-corruption mainstreaming’ across all the sectors of the EU Aquis. It is about integrating anti-corruption measures in sectoral reforms. It is very important, but also very complex and demanding,”

the Head of the EUACI mentioned.
