Vox Ukraine and the Ukrainian Leadership Academy with the support of the EUACI will develop a board role-playing game for young people

News

The EU Anti-Corruption Initiative (EUACI) is starting cooperation with Vox Ukraine to develop integrity and anti-corruption awareness among the youth of 4 Integrity Cities – Chernivtsi, Chervonohrad, Nikopol and Zhytomyr.

Thus, Vox Ukraine and the Ukrainian Leadership Academy, with the support of EUACI, will develop a board role-playing game that can be mastered by both young people and teachers of local educational institutions. The game will be developed as a result of a sociological survey that will show the understanding of corruption by youngsters and identify gaps in their knowledge. The final stage of the project will be an online integrity marathon and a board game competition.

It is expected that more than 6,000 young people will be able to become more knowledgeable about integrity issues as a result of the project. In addition, it is planned to involve 40 teachers in the project and increase their knowledge of new tools for promoting an integrity culture among young people. Also, based on the results of the sociological survey, policy recommendations will be developed regarding the involvement of youth in anti-corruption activities at the local level.

Full-scale war has caused high levels of emigration among women and children, which is also due to limited economic growth and employment opportunities. Empowering young people and giving them a voice and real influence in reconstructing their communities can be a strong argument for their return.

The project starts at the end of August 2022 and should be completed at the end of 2023.
