EUACI announces Open Call for Small Grants Contests

European Union Anti-Corruption Initiative (EUACI) announces the launch of two Small Grants Contests for NGOs from Donetsk and Chernivtsi Oblasts. Both Contests are aimed at supporting projects designed for monitoring activities of local governments, improving their transparency and accountability, as well as engaging youth in searching for innovative means for preventing and combating corruption.

Contests winners will be able to receive up to €7,500 for implementing projects in the field of countering corruption, anti-corruption education and improving transparency of local governments in Mariupol and Chernivtsi.

Acceptance of proposals from NGOs for projects implementation in Mariupol and Chernivtsi is open from March 18 till April 15, 2019. Detailed reviews of requirements for proposals are available by the following links:

Small Grants Contests are part of the “Integrity Cities” project implemented by EUACI in cooperation with local authorities in five Ukrainian cities.

The project aims to increase transparency of local authorities and government-led organizations by introducing innovative means to control their work and broader engagement of local communities in decision-making process.

The initiatives within the project include establishing Open Budget system for cities and local schools, launching of online reception and a number of others.
