Mykolaivvodokanal, one of the city’s largest enterprises, continues to cooperate with the EUACI to streamline its procurement processes.
Previously, experts from the Center for Public Monitoring conducted a comprehansive analysis of the company’s procurement and developed a roadmap of recommendations to eliminate the identified shortcomings and minimize corruption risks.
The first stage of updating the procurement policy involves introducing a set of new regulatory documents, including relevant methodologies, regulations, and procedures.
The updated package of documents will enable the utility to:
✅ monitor prices for services and materials;
✅ accurately estimate procurement cost;
✅ eliminate discriminatory requirements;
✅ increase competition in tenders;
Recently, Mykolaivvodokanal passed an integrity assessment that evaluated 87 indicators across 9 key areas of activity, such as public procurement, ethical aspects, finance, and economy. Based on the assessment results, Deloitte concluded that the company has significant potential for further development.
The EUACI will continue actively contributing to the utility company’s transformation, increasing its transparency, accountability, and efficiency.
