The European Commission has clearly stated that an effective fight against corruption is one of the key priorities for EU candidate countries. For Ukraine to successfully close negotiation chapters, it must demonstrate the implementation of sufficient anti-corruption measures across relevant sectors. Currently, Ukraine is undergoing the screening process, where it presents the anti-corruption aspects of various negotiation chapters.
On March 19 and 21, two workshops were held in Kyiv’s European Hub, organized by the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, the Government Office for Coordination of European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, and the National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP) with the support of the EU Anti-Corruption Initiative (EUACI).
EUACI consultant Dmytro Kotliar presented practical recommendations on preparing anti-corruption presentations for various negotiation chapters as part of the bilateral screening process with the European Commission. Representatives from the European Commission, the EU Delegation to Ukraine, and NACP also spoke at the event.
EUACI remains committed to supporting Ukraine in the fight against corruption on its path to EU membership.
