The EUACI met with the National Аgency on Civil Service of Ukraine to discuss the ethics of public servants

On 19 August, the Head of the EU Anti-Corruption Initiative (EUACI), Allan Pagh Kristensen and the team held a meeting with the NAUCS Head, Nataliia Aliushyna in Kyiv. The participants discussed areas of cooperation in the field of promoting the ethical behavior of public servants.

The EUACI presented a manual for the code-of-conduct of public servants based on a Danish code-of-conduct (“Kodex VII – the seven key duties”) that is obligatory reading for Danish public servants. It entails seven sets of duties: legality, truth, professionalism, development and cooperation, responsibility and management, openness about mistakes and political neutrality.

It was agreed to look into how the Danish experiences can provide inspiration and guidance for public servants of Ukraine.
