Institutional Strategy for the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office

The Strategy of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office in Ukraine (SAPO) sets out key priorities for institutional development and strengthening SAPO’s capacity to combat high-level corruption. The Strategy was developed with the support of the EU Anti-Corruption Initiative in Ukraine (EUACI) and is the result of a collective effort by the SAPO team together with national and international experts engaged by EUACI.

The document is based on a joint assessment of the challenges facing the institution and the identification of solutions aimed at enabling SAPO to more effectively fulfil its mandate, maintain institutional autonomy, and ensure prosecutorial independence, integrity, and focus on the results.

The Strategy defines seven strategic objectives, ranging from institutional autonomy and internal integrity mechanisms to team development, digitalisation, analytics, partnerships, and systematic communication with the public.
