Six Years of the High Anti-Corruption Court: Results and Next Steps

Last week, we marked the 6th anniversary of the High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC). Over these years, the Court has shown that high office is no shield against accountability — delivering 304 verdicts against 444 individuals and becoming a cornerstone in Ukraine’s fight against corruption.

The EU Anti-Corruption Initiative (EUACI) has supported the Court from the very beginning with training, equipment, legislative expertise, and communication. This partnership has helped HACC strengthen its independence and effectiveness, even in times of growing pressure.

But for the Court to continue delivering justice and expand its impact, further support is crucial. Among the strategic needs:

  • More judges to handle the growing caseload
  • Suitable premises and modern IT equipment for courtrooms
  • Reducing the number of procedural abuses

Our infographic highlights HACC’s development, achievements, and economic effect.
