Iryna Shyba, Deputy Head of the EU Anti-Corruption Initiative, told students of the Ukrainian Catholic University about the achievements and challenges of the largest programme supporting anti-corruption reform in Ukraine
On 13-14 May, a workshop on ‘Legal Aspects of International Technical Assistance’ was held to inform students about the main areas of work and activities of the Programme, as well as how Ukraine is implementing recommendations on its way to the EU.
In her speech, Iryna mentioned the implementation of joint projects with partners with whom EUACI cooperates in 4 areas of work.
In particular, she spoke about the introduction of legislative changes to strengthen the work of anti-corruption infrastructure, the assessment of the integrity of utilities in Chernivtsi and Mykolaiv, support for the work of selection commissions for the selection of heads of NABU, SAPO, and NAPC, as well as youth projects.
EUACI has recently launched an internship programme for young people and this week 2 interns joined the team.
