Yesterday, the premiere screening of the documentary took place in the Ukrainian House in Kyiv attended by 400 people. From today, it is available to watch online on hromadske’s YouTube channel: https://lnkd.in/e2j9NP8r
“After the Era of Silence” tells the story of how Ukrainians, driven by their desire for change and civic activism, proved that fighting corruption is possible when acting together. It is a celebration of the staff of the anti-corruption institutions and of civil society activists who changed the system and showed that no one should be above the law.
We thank everyone who made this documentary possible: partners who implement reforms, conduct investigations, develop policies, and all Ukrainians who overcame the era of silence. And we thank Hromadske for a great job in presenting this anti-corruption history in a way that is interesting and relevant for all Ukrainians.
Ukraine’s Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, Taras Kachka, Head of the “European Integration, Governance and Rule of Law, Civil Society” Section of the EU Delegation to Ukraine, Asier Santillán, and Chair of Transparency International Ukraine, Andrii Borovyk, participated in a debate following the screening.
The documentary “After the Era of Silence” was produced by hromadske in partnership with the National Agency on Corruption Prevention and with the support of the EU Anti-Corruption Initiative (EUACI).
