Supporting Investigative Journalism: First Results of the Emergency Grants’ Program with MDF

The first round of the emergency financial support program for independent investigative media implemented by the Media Development Foundation (MDF) in partnership with the EU Anti-Corruption Initiative (EUACI) was successfully concluded.

The program aims to strengthen the capacity of media outlets that cover corruption and abuse of power. It was created to provide emergency assistance to newsrooms and journalists working under the challenging conditions of full-scale war, financial instability, and pressure.

MDF received 23 applications. Following a competitive selection process, grants will be awarded to cover critical needs for the following organisations:

  • Farvater Media NGO (Farvater.Skhid)
  • MediaDokaz — Investigative Journalism Center of Poltava Region
  • Center for the Development of Frontline Media “Na mezhi” (On the Edge)
  • Slidstvo.Info
  • SODA — media from Zaporizhzhia

Stay tuned — the next round of support is coming soon!

The EU Anti-Corruption Initiative remains committed to supporting independent media that help expose corruption and foster accountability across Ukraine.
