On May 2, the EU Anti-Corruption Initiative (EUACI) organised a specialized training session with Pavlo Klimkin, former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and one of the most experienced diplomats in Ukraine, for the leadership of Ukraine’s key anti-corruption institutions, the High Anti-Corruption Court, and the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Anti-Corruption Policy.
The training aimed to strengthen the capacity of institutional leaders to engage in high-level negotiations, and operate with confidence in diplomatic settings.
“The negotiation training was a valuable professional experience. The material was presented in a structured way, with a focus on the practical aspects of conducting negotiations in complex contexts. Attention was given not only to strategies and tactics, but also to the importance of internal positioning: values, consistency, the ability to listen, and to maintain dialogue even under the most challenging circumstances. The training offered a new perspective on the negotiation process — as the art of creating space for solutions, even when reaching an agreement seems impossible,”
