From March 10 to 12, 2021, the employees of the National Agency for the Corruption Prevention (NACP) completed the training course “Certified ISO 31000 Risk Manager” with the support of the EU Anti-Corruption Initiative (EUACI).
The NACP provides methodological assistance to state and local self-government bodies in identifying and eliminating corruption risks in their activities. As a result of the study of NACP employees of the international standard ISO 31000, it will be possible to implement world best practices in risk management at the national and local levels.
Olga Gurina, NAPC Department for Prevention and Detection of Corruption:
“All public bodies, as well as private companies, must assess corruption risks in their activities to work effectively. The NACP develops the appropriate methodology, which should be based on the best international standards. After all, all companies in the world are concerned about this issue. NACP employees have completed a training course on the international standard ISO 31000 and use it in their activities”.
Successful completion of the course opens the NACP employees’ opportunity to obtain a certificate from the international certified center PECB on the qualification level ISO 31000.
Earlier, with the EUACI support, NACP employees trained for ISO 37001 Anti-Bribery Management System. The EU and Denmark plan to provide significant technical assistance to the NACP in the coming years, which should help build the efficiency and capacity of the NACP on strategic and tactical levels.
