News

On 1 March, the Danish ambassador Michael Lund Jeppesen hosted a meeting of the EU Anti-Corruption Initiative (EUACI) and ambassadors of EU Member States in Bruxelles. The Head of EUACI, Allan Pagh Kristensen, and the Deputy Head, Iryna Shyba, were speakers at the meeting.

During the meeting, the EUACI shared their assessments as to the fight against corruption, and the program’s engagement. The meeting provided an opportunity for the ambassadors to learn more about Ukraine’s efforts to combat corruption and promote transparency and the EU’s priorities in that regard. The meeting was held off-record.

During their visit to Bruxelles, EUACI’s representatives also met other relevant stakeholders in Bruxelles, including representatives of DG NEAR, the EU External Action Service, and DG HOME. The meetings confirmed the strong support to the work of the EUACI and focused on issues such as reconstruction, EU integration, e-declarations, and SAPO legislation. The EUACI also met with think-tanks and media to discuss ideas for activities in regard to Ukraine’s EU integration and anti-corruption.
