Three Years of eCase: From Idea to Results

Three years ago, the eCase electronic management system revolutionized the work of National Anti-Corruption Bureau, Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office, and High Anti-Corruption Court.

eCase is a digital tool that has replaced piles of paper and lengthy travel for document delivery. Now, all you need is a computer and access to the system, which already includes templates for essential procedural documents.

▪️ Over 1,500 criminal proceedings have been registered in the system.

▪️ eCase saves detectives 200 work hours per year, €20 per motion filed from the central office, and €200 per motion filed from a regional office.

eCase is integrated with the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations (ERDR) and the D-3 system. On December 15, 2023, the High Anti-Corruption Court officially started the use of the eCase system.

The next step is the development of a module for lawyers. Other plans include implementing evidence management and accounting, ensuring 100% coverage of procedural document templates, developing a mobile application for investigators and prosecutors, and integrating artificial intelligence into the system.

eCase was developed and implemented with technical, expert, and financial support from the EU Anti-Corruption Initiative.
