EUACI is closing gaps for corruption in procurement of the Restoration Agency

Implementing effective and transparent procurement approaches and supporting their application in regional Services for Restoration and Development of Infrastructure is one of the priority areas of the cooperation between the EU Anti-Corruption Initiative (EUACI) and the Agency for Reconstruction and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine.

Experts involved by the EUACI analyzed 182 procurements of the Restoration Services.

🔸 Significant overpricing of material resources compared to market prices was revealed in 17 procurements.
🔸 Changes in prices have been made to yet unannounced purchases;
🔸 Four procurements were canceled and re-announced with a decrease in the expected cost by UAH 114.5 million;
🔸 In five procurements, additional negotiations were held with the winners, and the cost of the concluded contracts was reduced by UAH 74.1 million;

Experts developed draft documents to improve the organization, preparation, and procurement of works and services related to the reconstruction of civil infrastructure facilities, development of project documentation, procurement of technical supervision, and consulting engineer services.

12 trainings were held to improve the qualifications of Restoration Services specialists in conducting transparent and effective procurement of construction works and related services.
