Modernising school canteens with integrity: training in procurement processes

Real changes do not start when a problem has been exposed, but when people are taught how to prevent it. We believe that prevention, knowledge and support are the foundation of sustainable integrity.

On 28 April, the EUACI together with the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the School Nutrition Reform Team organised a training session on ‘Specifics of procurement for modernisation under the Ukraine Facility Programme’. The hybrid event was attended by more than 700 participants from all over Ukraine.

During the training, participants:

  • learned about the procurement procedures under the Ukraine Facility;
  • received practical recommendations on preparing tender documentation;
  • reviewed typical mistakes and ways to avoid them;
  • discussed integrity and transparency requirements at all stages of the project implementation.

Every procurement conducted efficiently and transparent is not just equipment for the school canteen. It is another brick in the foundation of trust that we are building together.

We are grateful to the participants for their commitment, enthusiasm and willingness to work under new rules — the rules of integrity.
