EUACI handed-over UAH 2 million worth of IT equipment to ARMA

EU Anticorruption Initiative (EUACI) transferred IT equipment to ARMA total worth of UAH 2 million. These include PCs, printers, servers, uninterrupted power system and antivirus software. This is the third tranche of IT equipment to ARMA during the last 5 months. In total EUACI has donated UAH 3 million worth of IT equipment to Assets Recovery and Management Agency.

During the transfer ceremony, ARMA chairman Anton Yanchuk thanked EUACI for the continued support and mentioned that such support is not only in form of the IT equipment, but also professional development opportunities, which allow to learn the best international experience and practices in corrupt assets recovery. Mr. Yanchuk also gave a small tour around the agency. Much of the donated equipment has been put in use. ‘We are happy to support ARMA – the newest addition to the anticorruption agencies in Ukraine – with much needed IT equipment. ARMA’s main task is to show that there will be no impunity for corruption. ARMA will trace and manage all corrupt assets. From our side EUACI will continue supporting ARMA and other anti-corruption agencies in their effective fight with corruption in Ukraine’ – said EUACI head Eka Tkeshelashvili during the tour.  

Assets Recovery and Management Agency was set up in February 2016. In December 2016 the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine appointed Anton Yanchuk as its chairman. Early 2017 the agency began hiring process. In September of 2017 ARMA received first batch of arrested property for management.
