5 thousand Ukrainians used services of the Chatbot “Taras – the Civil servant”

At the beginning of February 2018, the CSO “Anti-Corruption Headquarters”, with the support of EUACI, launched the Chatbot Taras, which helped civil servants to fill in e-declarations.

Online service Chatbot “Taras – the Civil servant” helped civil servants to process data from tax declarations, financial statements and other documents timely and correctly, and provided step-by-step instructions for filling out e-declarations.

For three months, 5,000 Ukrainians used the chatbot and 2,000 information letters were sent to Ukraine’s government agencies all over the country through this service.

Chatbot “Taras – the Civil servant”  was available for Facebook Messenger and Telegram users. In those messengers “Taras” reminded about the deadline for filling in the declarations and advised  where to get or clarify the needed information.

In order to disseminate information about the chatbot activists conducted a promotional campaign in 7 cities of Ukraine. 1370 civil servants from Sumy, Chernihiv, Zhytomyr, Rivne, Lviv, Kyiv and Poltava learned about its work.

Regional and all-Ukrainian mass media wrote about “Taras – the Civil servant” – total 124 publications. Besides, the information about it was published on the websites of the local self-government bodies.

The chatbot “Taras – the Civil servant” was created and implemented with the support of EUACI. With the help of this bot every Ukrainian could check whether he needed to submit e-declaration and found out how to file the documents.
